Measuring is knowing. Especially when using the hydrophonic method, it is very important to know the exact pH value. So do not economise on the purchase of the measuring equipment.

Measuring is knowing. This saying definitely applies to the cultivation of marihuana, because it is important to know the pH and EC values.

PH is a value that measures acidity. EC is a value that measures the nutrition of feed. A pH value between 6.5 and 7 is ideal for a marihuana plant. When cultivating, using the hydrophonic method the pH value is slightly lower, between 5.5 and 6.2.

The EC value indicates the level of nutrition. The value at the start of the cultivation cycle is lower than at the end of the cycle. Values are between 1.3 at the start and 2.5 at the end. (Note: the core values of pH and CE in tapwater are different throughout the country, so measure first before you add nutrition and acidity).

Growers often find it a nuisance to use measuring equipment. Tests show though that the higher return because of measuring properly is so significant that you don't want to do without.

Just as important is measuring the temperature and humidity of the air which, when correct, benefit the plants enormously.
